After the star studded world premiere of Inkblot’s 12th movie, Who’s The Boss, Kemi Filani’s Ella Chioma again hit the cinema to bring you guys all you need to know about the movie and of course to confirm if it is worth your N2,500 or not.
So, Who’s the Boss tells the story of Hauwa, played by Funke Akindele Bello. She is hard to please and tough too.
Hauwa who is directly under Tunde (played by Segun Arinze) keeps tormenting Liah (Sharon Ooja), an overworked and overlooked Advertising Agency creative.
Then, just like a typical tired and frustrated working class lady, Liah decides to invent another boss through the help of her best friend, Jumoke, played by Ini-Dima Okojie.
She got a new boss, Lekan (Blossom Chukwujekwu), an unrepentant womanizer to front for the side hustle start-up agency, then she used him to explore her creative pursuits.
That was where her whole trouble started…
Well, for those who know the soft side of Funke Akindele, the Jenifa star, watching her play a wicked boss seems some sought of heartbreaking. And yes! She gave the role her best shot that you would make you wonder if Funke Akindele is tough boss in reality.
Who Is The Boss was portrayed to be a romantic comedy, but it was short of a comic scene, just one or two comic reliefs and that was it.
The movie delivered its core message, especially to corporate organizations to always do the needful and don’t undermine a staff, regardless. It was such a good storyline, well delivered by the seasoned actors.
How it ended would make you go ‘Hmmmmmmmm’!
Meanwhile…We need to see the Producer one on one, and the Director too, to ask what role exactly did Beverly Osu, and Tayo Faniran (Big Brother Africa stars) play in the movie, Waka pass?
Worth your N2,500? Well, we can’t really decide that. But we know the movie scored 60% on our ratings card!
