Finally, The Ghost and The House Of Truth is out in the Cinemas and Ella Chioma went to see the movie first on behalf of KFB movie lovers.
The movie which was produced by veteran actress cum filmmaker, Ego Boyo, was very brief, just 60 mins.
The story line which tackled the harsh subject that is sadly prevalent in our country child/sexual abuse, was short of entertainment.
It lacked the keywords, entertaining, intriguing and interesting.
In order words, it was such a serious movie, no comic relief of any sort.
They are better ways to tell these kinds of deep stories and get a standing ovation.
Although, it had a deep lesson for all parents, single mothers specifically, but The Ghost and The House Of Truth didn’t tell well of its name.
The location which is more of Makoko Slump, was quite a way to show how majority of Nigerians are suffering in abject poverty.
However kudos to the Kate Henshaw and the cast for doing justice to the simple Nigerian language, Pidgin.
In conclusion, if you’re not a parent yet or a single mother, you can use your N2500 better for Pizza and a bottle of soft drink…thank us later.
