Do you love to love? Oh, yes! You do! Then go have yourself some “Kambili: The Whole 30 Yards”.
The movie, quite predictable, yet the 1hr 50mins Romantic – Comedy is worth it all.
The movie is the story of Kambili Maduka, played by Nancy Isime; she’s an irresponsible and unorganized, 28-year-old woman who after her 29th birthday became desperate and wanted to do everything to married before she turns 30.
However things didn’t turn out the way she had expected. Life happened; prior to her 29th birthday, she gets suspended from work due to her incessant lateness. Then her boyfriend, played by Mawuli Gavor breaks up with her because she is not ‘wife material’ due to her lifestyle.
To worsen it all, her mother of over 50 years, Elvina Ibru also gets engaged to her young, handsome lover, Uzor Arukwe.
Kambili becomes frustrated, embarks on a mission to straighten her path, win her boyfriend back and make her ‘married at 30’ dream come true.
She manages to actualize all these with the help of her best friends; Swanky JKA, Venita Akpofure. Then came the (expected) twist you all would love.
Kambili: The Whole 30 Yards’ was quite a delight to watch. The production and the performances of the actors will pull you in from start to finish.
The performances of the actors is probably the best part of the movie. Nancy Isime, Sharon Ooja, Swanky and of course, Mawuli Gavor was such a beautiful combination and easy to love.
Oh! Yes and we dare not forget Toyin Abraham, Mamma gave her fans more reasons to love her.
Like we had stated earlier, Kambili was quite predictable, and the pairing of the love birds a bit awkward, aside that, the film produced by Kayode Kasum is a jolly good movie to see with your loved one.
