KFB Movie Review: Sanitation Day is mildly recommended

Ella ChiomaBy Ella ChiomaFebruary 9, 2021

It’s movie time again! Are you planning to see a movie this weekend? Sanitation Day? Before heading to the Cinema, read this!

Sanitation Day, the movie, is the latest project from FilmOne Entertainment directed by Seyi Babatope.

The movie tells a crime story of “who done it” in a Nigerian setting!… Its A crime thriller like no other!!! It tells the story of tenants who live in a “face me I face you” accommodation and find themselves in a dilemma when a dead body is found on Sanitation Day; it features characters of some of the major tribes of the country, the Igbo, Yoruba, Calabar, and Hausa all living together

Sanitation Day boasts of stars in the likes of Blossom Chukwujekwu, Elozonam Ogbolu, and Belinda Effah, Saeed Mohammed, Chris Okagbue, and Nse Ikpe Etim.

The story plot is not like your regular Nollywood movies, a thrilling crime discovery movie laced with humour and good enough acting.

The first half of the movie makes you laugh so hard, then soundly, you get confused about what’s really happening.Too much storytelling that leaves the viewers lost and trying so hard to reconnect.

Sanitation Day somehow makes for a good watch, but the movie even drags on too long.
At a point, it becomes a bit clumsy and overbaked.

Meanwhile, their role interpretations were so apt! Nse, Blossom, Elozonam delivered awesomely.

Aside from the comic scenes, nothing else is worth it!

So, for Kemi Filani, Sanitation Day is just mildly recommended!
