Several weeks after its release to the Cinemas, Kemi Filani News finally had to take out time to see Jim Iyke‘s much publicized movie, Bad Comments.
Bad Comments stars Jim Iyke – who is also the film’s executive producer – as Frank Orji, a film bigshot, whose life gets turned upside down following social media call out from several platforms.
Written by Kehinde Joseph, Bad Comments also features Osas Ighodaro, Ben Toutou, Chiwetalu Agu, and Sharon Ooja, among others.
Bad Comments is a movie centered on highlighting the consequences of online trolling and cyberbullying and as well dealing with the highlighted issues.
However, did they execute all that? A bit with several lapses. Bad Comments doesn’t really talk about the issues it brings forth or how best to deal with them. There are also few lessons to pick from this movie; your worst troll might be your best friend, so one needs to be alert to avoid being a public ridicule.
Not totally a bad movie considering the kind of movies being churned out these days in the cinemas, but Bad Comments shouldn’t be watched with all your senses at alert – Just have fun and enjoy the moments.
Jim Iyke undoubtedly ‘killed’ his role, as a seasoned veteran that he is, Osas Ighodaro also made quite a laudable impression with her upgraded acting skills.
Kemi Filani News didn’t expect such an ending; too much drama, revelations and prolonged scene.
In conclusion, Bad Comments earned some accolades due to Jim Iyke‘s presence and his wonderful delivery. We rate it 6/10. Go thee and enjoy but leave some of your intellectual reasoning abilities at home. Just have fun!
