The police in Nasarawa have arrested a barber simply identified as Bashiru for allegedly attempting to rape a minor.
The incident happened on Wednesday at the suspect’s shop located at Sharp Corner Road in the Mararaba area of the State.
A source who spoke to a reporter on anonymous condition said the barber was apprehended while trying to sexually molest a minor at his shop.
The source who is a resident of the area also confirmed that the minor has since been taken to hospital for medical treatment.
According to the source; He (the suspect) is a barber and was caught while attempting to sexually molest the minor at his shop.
“The minor is staying close to his shop, only God knows if he has been doing it.
“Thank God he has been arrested by the Nigerian police and the minor has been taken to hospital for medical treatment”.
Meanwhile, effort by our reporter to speak with a spokesperson of the Nasarawa State Police Command proved abortive as his telephone line was unreachable as at the time of filing this report.
