Many policemen feared dead as ‘unknown gunmen’ storm Ohafi

Eight police officers have reportedly been gunned down after unknown gunmen stormed Ohafia local government area (LGA) in Abia State.

As of the filing of this report, the identities of the affected police officers who were gunned down is yet to be known as we don’t have much information.

Meanwhile, about seven unknown gunmen earlier stormed another farm in Oyo state.

Newsmen gathered that one farm customer who hailed from the Igede tribe, Benue state, was killed during the attack on a farm at Afijio Local Government Area, Fiditi, Oyo State.

According to reports, the gunmen who arrived at the farm with AK-47rifles and other guns were in search of workers to kidnap; they targeted the farm manager, who took refuge at the ceiling of his office toilet.

The farm manager and others found the customer dead while conducting a search on the farm.

Three shells of AK-47 rifle bullets and one empty cartridge shell were found at the scene.

Mr. Olugenga Fadeyi, Public Relations Officer of the state Police Command, confirmed the attack to newsmen.

He asserted that the kidnapped victims escape to the continuous police search for the criminals who tried hiding to escape arrest.

Fadeyi also confirmed the dead farm customer body had been disposed of in a mortuary at the State Hospital for autopsy.
