The Police prevented a suspected electrical device thief from a mob in Lagos (name withheld) from facing mob justice.
SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the spokesperson for the command, posted this on his verified Twitter account on Tuesday.
He claimed that the suspect was saved from the mob by the prompt action of police officers from the Surulere Division.
“On Jan. 25, 2023 at about 8:30a.m police officers of Surulere Division rescued a man from an angry mob after he stole from the store of the National Stadium two electric switch boxes and 28 electric circuit breakers,” he said.
Hundeyin said that the suspect has been charged before a court and kept behind bars.
“The suspect has been arraigned and is currently on remand,” he said. (NAN)
