A father of three identified as Alex Okafor has been apprehended by security operatives after he allegedly brutalized his kid with an electric wire.
The accused has been arraigned by NAPTIP under the provisions of the Violence Against Persons (Prohibition) Act 2015, for an alleged act of violence and inflicting injuries on his three children.
40-year-old Okafor, who worked with the National Health Insurance Scheme, in Abuja, allegedly brutalised his children, two girls and a boy, aged 8, 10 and 11, for making him angry .
After the charges were read, he pleaded not guilty and Justice Valentine Ashi, of a High Court of the Federal Capital Territory, Number 28, sitting in Apo, Abuja, granted him bail in the sum of N500, 000.
He was ordered to be remanded in prison till he makes bail.
