“Blood was flowing like water” Young man named Victor Ifakachukwu allegedly stabs his girlfriend to death in Edo state

In a grim turn of events, a young man named Victor Ifakachukwu allegedly took the life of his girlfriend, sending shockwaves through his community.

Reports indicate that the incident occurred at the couple’s residence on Osahon Street, Ogheghe Quarters, off Sapele Road, Benin City. The couple’s argument escalated to a point where they both bolted themselves inside their room, leading to a violent confrontation that resulted in the tragic loss of life.

Mr. Emmanuel Momoh, the landlord, became aware of the violent situation sometime around 4 pm and promptly informed the police. Upon arrival, law enforcement discovered a horrible sight—a bloodied mess stained the corners of the apartment.

In the apartment, they found two blood-stained knives, some personal electronic devices like laptops and phones as the major evidence.

Victor Ifakachukwu, the suspected perpetrator, was arrested at the scene but required immediate medical attention due to the severity of the injuries he had sustained during the violent altercation. He is currently being closely monitored in an undisclosed hospital, with the hope that he will eventually regain consciousness to kickstart investigations.

Some security personnel who joined in the evacuation of the girl’s dead body said no part was missing from the deceased.

“When we arrived at the house, Omo, blood was flowing like water, I believe they started stabbing themselves when a quarrel erupted between them.”

The spokesperson of the Edo State Police Command, SP Chidi Nwabuzor, confirmed the incident’s occurrence and assured that a thorough investigation is underway.
