Olajumoke Olawode-James has alleged that there’s an attempt to gag her on social media same way it played out during her days as a TV show co-host.
She made this known in the heat of a clash with Abike Dabiri-Erewa, the chairman of Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, over Anthony Joshua’s meeting with President Buhari.
Recall that Olajumoke hinted at being shown the exit door while she worked as a co-host of the popular TV show ‘Your View’. Read HERE.
She insinuated that she was let go because she never held back her opinion on certain issues while on the show, a thing the powers that be didn’t like.
With Abike Dabiri-Erewa slamming her for criticizing the President’s meeting with Anthony Joshua, Olajumoke feels she’s about to get gagged again and this time on social media.
She tweeted:
“They say, you can’t say it on TV, I left! Then you come for me on social media!
I wonder what you want. I see how low they go. And just ignored! Then I saw people rise up with my name on their lips! In defense of what they believed in! I’ve never been more proud!
Thank you”.
She also set the record straight on claims by Abike Dabiri-Erewa who doubted she’s a journalist.
She added: “As a trained Journalist, no company I worked with, ever asked me for any of my 3 degrees! NONE!nMy certificates are a decoration! My competence has always gone ahead of me. learnt early, that empty barrels make the most noise and decided to come correct! I’m most grateful!”
