Actress turned UK based Psychologist, Victoria Inyama has been dragged by Nigerians for saying women should dress decently to avoid harassment.
The divorced mother took to her Instagram page to share a video reacting to a lady being harassed by an ‘agbero’ in Oshodi, Lagos.
Sharing the video, she wrote;
“Appropriate Dressing… l know that the hardship in that country is so severe it has eaten up the common sense side of the brain….
African women Dress decent and stop copying The Western worlds. Their system works. Regardless of anything There are Laws that protect women…..Such laws you don’t have… Dress Responsible….How difficult is that.”
However, her opinion didn’t go down well with some Nigerians. See some reactions below…
“Stop at what he did was wrong!!!”
“See whoโs talking? When you were younger , you wore worse clothes Victoria calm down”
“Don’t tell women how to dress. Tell men how to act.”
“ff the mic ๐, itโs okay!! Until boys start touching those that dress decently before you know itโs wrong. What is wrong has no other name than WRONG. So aunty itโs okay!! Off the mic”
