A Nigerian lawyer, Ifeoma Solanke has revealed how she suffered PTSD after working under a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, SAN.
In a series of tweets, the lady revealed that the stress of the job which includes closing late and the distance from her home to the office, amongst others, contributed to the situation he found herself in.
She wrote:
“The day to talk about the horrible experiences of young wigs may not be here, but I still have PTSD from working with that woman. Yesterday made it 3 years of the start of the madness.
In no particular order.
I was robbed for the first time in her employ cos we close as late as 12 am.
Uber to Berger from VI every other night.
You work 8 am to 6 pm, she comes to the office by 6 and no one goes till she goes, not even the cleaner.
She moves everyone to her house to do office work for DAYS. You go de sleep for chair.
She had a temper!!!
Can’t count how many times I slept in the office, sometimes on my period.
Salary was never paid on time and never without a grudge.
The clerks were her stooges, you only needed to offend them and e don be for you.
She basically uses you and dumps you. She no dump me sha.
As a corps member, I did exceptionally well… She could not contain me and the only day I said, fuck it, I can’t wait for this woman by 6:30pm and I left, she went ballistic.
She definitely had that God complex of, I can make or break you as per SAN.
She refused to fill my reference form and thankfully, all I needed to do was prove myself to my new employer.
Everyone I know that worked with her has a horrible story to tell and I don’t mind having a Support group for our PTSD.
She will probably say I am defaming her but this is the truth and my niece who is 12 can very well testify to say she hated me for being away from her cos of my job she hated I was doing.
In any case, I think I am ready for the court to take judicial notice of her kind”.
