Ovations Magazine boss, Dele Momodu has shared a bit on his journey as a journalist, a thing he says he never planned much about.
He shared a picture showing him with late MKO Abiola whom he worked for at his Concord Magazine.
Captioning the picture, Dele Momodu wrote:
”I landed in Lagos in 1988, at the age of 28, determined to make a big success of my unplanned career as a journalist, at Chief MKO ABIOLA’s African Concord magazine. I worked very hard and soon my bosses recognized my talents and nurtured it and two years later, I resigned…”
According to Dele Momodu, he was poached by actor Richard Mofe Damijo’s late wife.
”In May 1990, exactly two years of living in Lagos, I was poached away from Concord by May Ellen Ezekiel (MEE MOFE DAMIJO) as the highest-paid Editor in Nigeria, and was there till late 1991, when fate changed my direction”.
