Africans are known for the extensive and vibrant taste in fashion, and it seems that the Grammys 2024 red carpet had a taste of that African spice. There was no dull moment for African celebrities that attended the Grammys 2024, and this article is solely dedicated to their jaw dropping outfits.
Number one on the list is Nigeria’s favorite ‘Sabi girl’ Ayra Starr. The stunning singer turned heads in a magnificent baby blue two-piece outfit that consists of a micro crop top that has a cape hanging from the edges and transparent beads dangling in front. Ayra Starr paired this top with a matching mini skirt, which is her signature style. If Ayra Starr was going for an ethereal look, then she totally nailed it with this outfit.
South Africa’s very own Tyla toon to the Grammys red carpet in a jaw-dropping trap dress. The inspiration behind this dress must have been mermaid fashion because it looks ethereal and magnificent. This dress has cut-out designs on one side of the stomach and a slit on one side. On one side of the upper part of the dress, you can see a transparent mesh design that crawls across her torso. This dress was made with a sultry effect in mind, and it looks so good on Tyla.
Third on the list we have Nigerian singer Asake, also known as ‘Mr Money no de waste time’. Asake definitely had no time to waste, as he donned a simple black suit that looked amazing on him. He also added some statement silver jewelry to the outfit, and it made him look classy and expensive.
Fourth on the list, we have none other than one of Nigeria’s finest singers Davido. The multiple award-winning star wore a simple black suit, with a white shirt underneath and a bowtie to match.
Last of the list, we have the self-acclaimed African giant Burnaboy who dressed in a 90’s hip-hop inspired outfit. The singer wore a bright red puffer jacket, paired with denim trousers, and he accessorized by wearing a baseball hat backwards.
