Zambja president, Edgar Lungu has asked US ambassador Daniel Foote, to leave his country for defending a gay couple sentenced to 15-year jail term.
Foote has expressed worries over the sentence as he called o the government t to review laws against minority groups.
Foote said;
“The move was particularly disturbing as government officials can steal millions of public dollars without prosecution.”
Lungu revealed that a formal complaint has been filed to the US government.
He said;
“We have complained officially to the American government, and we are waiting for their response because we don’t want such people in our midst. We want him gone.
“We are saying no to homosexuality. When you are tying it to aid, if that is how you are going to bring your aid, then I’m afraid the west can leave us alone in our poverty. And we’ll continue scrounging and struggling.”
