Brazil football legend, Rivaldo has criticized the Spanish La Liga’s decision for matches to be played under high temperatures.
Rivaldo who once played in the league for Barcelona advised the League’s FA to consider the human factors when scheduling games.
“Paying attention to human factors is key to the scheduling of fixtures,” Rivaldo told an interview with Betfair, as cited by Diario AS.
“In Spain you have times when temperatures are very high and fans can suffer in these conditions, as well as the players of course.
“These are the most important groups for football and it is correct that the Spanish FA has criticised the league president because of this, it needs to be questioned.
“When you are scheduling matches, it is important to take the heat into account because this can get extreme and jeopardise the health of players and fans.”
