Paul Pogba has revealed the reason why former Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho was sacked by the club last December.
According to Pogba who had issues with the former manager, Mourinho was sacked because the team was not winning games.
“What were the issues? We were not winning.
“That’s why they decided to change the head coach.
“The results matter the most. If we were winning, we would have good results and the coach would have remained at his position. That’s all,” Pogba told a news conference, ahead of Friday’s Euro 2020 qualifier against Moldova.
Interim manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has since revitalized the team with a good winning streak. They prepare to take on Barcelona in the last eight of the UEFA Champions League.
