The Nigerian Centre for Diseases Control, NCDC, has announced that the country has recorded its second COVID-19 death.
The first COVID-19 death was announced yesterday by NCDC which revealed that it claimed the life of ex-PPMC boss, Achimugu Suleiman.
Making the new death known, the NCDC, however, failed to disclose the identity of the victim as they announced that the total confirmed cases of the virus in Nigeria has reached 40.
“As of 11:00pm on the 23rd of March, there are 40 confirmed cases of COVID19 in Nigeria.
“Two out of the number confirmed have been discharged while one death has been recorded,” the Centre said.
The total death toll has now been pegged at 15,000 by John Hopkins University.
