Paul Adefarasin and his church, House on the Rock have been served
with an N800 million lawsuit by a certain Gerald Chukwueke (who is the father-in-law of Naetoc C) and four
others through their lawyer, Moyo Onigbanjo (SAN).
The suit, which will be heard on Thursday, April 7, will be presided
over by Justice Adebisi Akinlade of the Lagos State High Court sitting
in Igbosere.
According to Leadership, the plaintiffs are looking to claim damages
against the clergyman and his church for allegedly trespassing on their
land in Lekki, Lagos.
The plaintiffs, Martha Chukwueke, Germaine Logistics Limited,
Germaine Auto Centre Limited as well as Chukwueke and Chinelo Chukwueke
are also filing for the defendants to pay N180 million as legal fees for
their counsel.
At the last sitting of the court, Justice Akinlade had granted an
interim injunction restraining the defendants, including the
incorporated trustees of the Rock Foundation, the registrar of titles,
Lagos State Land Registry and the attorney general of Lagos State from
demolishing or removing any structure from the land located at Ikate,
Lekki, Lagos.
