Manchester United have rejected an offer from Barcelona worth £45m plus Yerry Mina and Andre Gomes, all for Paul Pogba.
The news is on the hills of reports suggesting the player’s agent Mino Raiola travelled to Manchester in an attempt to force a move for his player to the Spanish champions.
But United apparently have no desire to part with Pogba, who has just returned to training after winning the World Cup with France.
25-year-old Pogba joined the Old Trafford squad in 2016 – for a then-world record £93.25m – and still has three years left on his contract.
It will be a huge risk selling the player which means they will be left with just two days to secure a high-profile replacement due to the closing transfer windows.
The Spanish window does not close until August 31, meaning Barcelona have until the end of the month to try and sign Pogba in this window.
