Liverpool Legend, Steve Nicol has reacted to an interview in which Paul Pogba hinted at a possible exit from Manchester United.
The 25-year-old who is highly wanted by Barcelona after an impressive 2018 world cup outing also spoke on his relationship with United’s manager, Jose Mourinho.
Pogba has had a rocky relationship with Mourinho, but despite currently being on international duty, he has not stopped adding fuel to the fire.
“There was a lot of talk (about a move to Barca), but it was just like that,” he told Sky Sports Germany.
“I’m under contract in Manchester. My future is currently in Manchester, I still have a contract.”
And when asked about his relationship with Mourinho, Pogba admitted it was strictly professional.
He added: “We have a pure coach-player relationship, that’s right.
“One thing I can assure you, I will always give 100%. No matter which coach I always give everything for United – I cannot say more.”
His comment has left Liverpool legend Steve Nicol furious.
He said: “What is he doing? As if there weren’t enough problems at United already.
“Why is a player at United throwing fuel on the fire? Why is he saying that?
“Does he want Mourinho gone? Because that sounds like what he is doing to me.”
