Governor Sanwo-Olu’s mother’s house in Lagos has been set on fire by hoodlums following the killings on peaceful protesters at the Lekki Toll Gate on the 20th of October, 2020.
According to an eyewitness who wished to remain anonymous, the angry youths gathered around Sanwo-Olu’s family house on Omididun street, Lagos Island at Around 7.45am. The youths were seen throwing stones and shattering glasses, adding that one of the youths who held a jerry can of petrol was seen soaking the house in petrol but was quickly stopped by residents for fear that the fire could spread uncontrollably.
“One of the youths poured petrol on the building but was immediately prevented from setting it ablaze because the fire could spread and lead to loss of lives.” the eyewitness said.
However, the policemen attached to the Adeniji Adele Police Station raced to the scene to curb the spread of the violence.
It has been gathered that these hoodlums are doing all they can to revenge the death of the youths that were killed at the #EndSars protest.
In the video that surfaced on the internet, a big fire was seen coming from the house and passersby could be heard lamenting about how angry the youths are.
This comes after the TVC and some BRT stations in Lagos were destroyed by hoodlums.
