Another attack has happened in Niger State, at the Gurmana ward of Shiroro Local Government Area. Gunmen were reported to have stormed the community, abducting many.
This is coming just barely hours after the state witnessed the abduction of students and staff of Government Science College (GSC) at Kangara.
Villages like Sarkin Zama, Bakin Kogi (Lagbe), Siyiko, and other connecting towns on Wednesday evening were stormed by gunmen who invaded the villages in their numbers.
The operation was reported to last for hours, which also saw casualties, but the number of the casualties could not be verified as of the time of filling this report.
The Concerned Shiroro Youths, Sani Kokki, alleged that some people died while others who had gunshot injuries were rushed to various health clinics for medical attention.
Kokki further reveals that many people were also abducted and whisked away to unknown destinations.
“Countless deadly attacks have become daily occurrences, thereby compelling the affected victims to live at the mercy of hydra-headed monsters. Defenseless, unarmed, and peaceful locals have been abandoned to their fate,” Kokki added.
