Former Nigeria’s president, Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, and his wife, Patience Jonathan, and a Catholic church representative, Rtd. Archbishop of Abuja, John Cardinal Onayekan, and Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, are currently in a closed-door meeting at Abonnema, Akuku/Toru Local Government Area of Rivers State for the final burial of High Chief Benson Lulu-Briggs, late billionaire and philanthropist.
High Chief Benson Lulu died at the age of 88.
Many people who graced the occasion include dignitaries, families, and friends who came to celebrate the oil mogul’s life.
The former president came in his wife’s company at around mid-day and was duly received by Governor Nyesom Wike and his deputy, Dr. (Mrs) Ipalibo Harry–Banigo.
Also present to grace the occasion includes dignitaries like Minister State for Petroleum, Chief Timpre Sylva; Ms. Maureen Tamnuno, Nigeria’s Ambassador to Jamaica; Mr. Timi Alaibe, former Managing Director of the NDDC; Dr. Uche Ogah, Minister of State, Mines, and Steel; Mr. Ifie Sekibo, Managing Director of Heritage Bank Plc among other dignitaries.
