Leader of the Indigenous People Of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, has declared his support for Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State.
Kanu made this statement following Ortom’s remark, saying the people of Benue State are ready to stop Fulani herdsmen.
Ortom, in his remark, had revealed that the Tiv nation in 1804 fought and stopped herders from taking over the State.
He further declared that the Tiv nation is not afraid of following the footsteps of their forefathers.
Reacting to Ortom’s post, Kanu, in a tweet, wrote: “Our forefathers stopped them in 1804, we are not afraid – Ortom
“Dear Gov. Ortom, The #IPOB that I lead stand with you. #Biafrans stand with you.
“I’m pretty certain that all that yearn for freedom in NIGERIA stand with you. Do not despair. We got your back. @GovSamuelOrtom.”
Ortom recently escaped an assassination attempt on his life while he was walking through his farm along the Makurdi- Gboko road last Saturday.
The Governor had claimed that Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore was planning to kill him.
