In southern Nigeria, precisely Rivers State, police operatives and Nigerian soldiers on Sunday argued over electoral matters at the head office of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in the state.
According to the Cable, the security officials were arguing over who should be in charge of the INEC office, the state collation center, where result for the governorship election will be announced.
It was later gathered that policemen took charge of security affairs at the all-important collation centre.
But reports reveals despite the heavy presence of the military around the the collation centre no official of the electoral umpire was harassed.
