Governor of Zamfara State, Bello Matawalle, said he might resign to allow peace reign in the State.
Bello, who spoke to newsmen, made this known when asked if he’s intimated by President Buhari’s declaration of the State as a ‘No-Fly Zone’
Matawalle, in his defense, said he’s not a power-drunk, adding that he has had sleepless nights to fulfill his promise of protecting the lives and properties of the people of Zamfara state.
The governor opined: “I am ready to accept any solution that will bring security to my State.
“I am not intimidated. If I know that my resigning as a governor will make the people sleep with their two eyes closed, I can resign. I am ready to do what will bring security.
“I am not power-hungry. I have been having a sleepless night to protect the people of Zamfara State.”
