The situation surrounding the custody of Nipsey Hussle’s eldest daughter may have worsened, as authorities are reportedly looking for the child’s mother, Tanisha Foster.
According to TMZ, On Monday, a warrant was issued for Foster after she failed to appear in court for an ongoing DUI case.
After being arrested for a DUI several years ago, Foster pleaded no contest and was sentenced to three years probation. Foster reportedly missed a mandatory court date for the case last week, prompting the judge to revoke her probation and issue a bench warrant for her arrest.
The DUI was not Foster’s first run-in with the law. In 2006, she was arrested for disturbing the peace and resisting arrest. Although the outcome of those charges is unknown, a year later Foster was charged with vandalism, annoying phone calls, and disturbing the peace. These counts against her were dismissed at a later date after she completed probation.
Foster’s troubles with the law could have an impact on her current fight to regain custody of her daughter.
After Nipsey Hussle’s passing, the rapper’s siblings filed for custody of Hussle and Foster’s daughter Emani. Per their legal team, Hussle’s brother and sister feel as though Foster isn’t stable enough to properly parent the 10-year-old. This led to a custody hearing where Foster burst into tears.
Her reaction was due to the fact she hadn’t seen Emani in months, prompting the judge to clear the courtroom and give the mother 20 minutes alone with her daughter.
