Evacuation of Nigerians in the United Kingdom (UK), United States of America (USA), United Arab Emirates (UAE) and other countries, will begin this week.
This was confirmed by the Chairman, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), Abike Dabiri-Erewa.
Writing on her verified Twitter page on Monday, Dabiri-Erewa said: “Planned evacuation of Nigerians begins from this week. UAE. UK. USA etc.
“All applicants should please check with the various missions for updates and protocols to abide by. May the Lord heal the world.”
NIDCOM however made it clear that those returning to the country, will undergo the mandatory 14-day isolation on arrival.
As at Sunday night, Nigeria had recorded 2,558 confirmed cases of COVID-19.
