Coronavirus: Mecca and Medina temporarily suspends pilgrims from visiting

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia took to twitter to announce that Mecca and Medina pilgrims are temporarily suspended from visiting.

The rule is to help prevent the virus from spreading further and also to keep the people of Mecca and Medina safe.

Though WHO is working closely with global experts to track the spread of the virus, and to provide advice to countries and individuals on measures to protect health and prevent the spread of this outbreak. The people of Mecca and Medina believe it is best to keep outsiders off their territory pending the time a cure is discovered.
