Come take part in the National Children And Young People’s Media Summit (NCYPMS) 2014

The
National Children and Young People’s Media Summit which started in 2013 with
its first edition in Abuja has proven to be the best gathering of young people
with passion for media and media techniques to add their voice and skills to
the development of the 21st century media world.
We
are determined to see that the NCYPMS becomes the most creative meeting place
for Children and Young People ages 10 to 25, preparing them with the in-depth
media skills needed to create a new media world in the 21st century in their
local community. The participants at the Lagos Summit will be exposed to great
opportunities to network, to be part of debates, to interact creatively with
their peers, be part of workshops, share perspectives, experience and
expertise.
The
2014 summit will also create a platform for media tycoons to brainstorm, mentor
and share experience with the next generation media icons.

We
are pleased to officially announce the flag off for registration for the 2nd
edition of the NCYPMS which will hold from 1st to 9th of
August 2014 in Lagos Nigeria with partnership with AIT/Raypower FM, Television
Continental, Radio Continental, eNUELMEDIA, Rayvolution Media Group, IOA Media,
CHAMS PLC, Lagos Television, NTA Lagos Network Centre among many others.
We
must remember that the world has moved from analogue to digital and new media
are developing by the day.

Young people who are the future of Africa must
therefore, like their foreign peers learn the act of the 21st
century media and be challenged to create their own ideas and new media.
The
NCYPMS 2014 team will work with media organization to expose young Africans to
the art of Cinematography, Video Editing and Animation, Studio Lighting, T.V
and Radio Presenting and Production, Graphics Design, Print Media, News
Writing, Scripting and the New Media.
Remember
that our primary aim is to contribute towards giving in-depth knowledge of how
various media is operated and how young people can create their own idea from
dream to actualization.

We
are hopeful therefore that the 2014 Summit will give decision-makers insight into the
role of the media industry and the prerequisites for producing and distributing
high-quality content for children and young people; improve the status and
availability of media education among young people and empower the youths and
children to be able to creatively handle specific media tools such as cameras,
editing machines as well as graphic tools.
We implore
interested participants, parents and schools to register early at
www.madinitiativeng.org .
