President Goodluck Jonathan is currently at the receiving end of
harsh criticisms by angry Nigerians for ignoring some persons in the

A list of 100 Nigerians who had contributed immensely to the growth
of the nation in the past 100 years were honored by the President on Friday as part of the activities commemorating the centenary
celebrations.
Some entertainers, both dead and the living appeared in the Good Book
of Jonathan and were honoured accordingly, while others were ignored.
Those entertainers who made the list of those honoured at the
centenary awards include Olu Jacobs, Patience Ozorkwo, Fela Kuti, Hubert
Adedeji Ogunde and Kenneth Nnebue.

However, it seems the list didn’t go down well with some entertainers
as eyebrows have been raised on the list of the people selected as well
as the criteria used in picking them.
An angry popular music producer who owns one of the famous record
labels in the country frowned at the list, describing it as
‘inconclusive.’

The producer who does not want his name in print told Dailypost that,
“some famous celebrities like Genevieve Nnaji, Omotola Jalade Ekehinde,
Pete Edochie, JJ Okocha, 2face and even his ‘friend’ D’banj shouldn’t
have been left out.

“I don’t know the criteria use in picking them put the list is inconclusive.
Another music Director said, “Jonathan cannot continue to be this unfair, especially to the music industry. Is Nollywood the only entrainment sector in the country?”
