Some Boko Haram militants have launched an attack Barderi, near Maiduguri, Borno State, killing about 45 people.
Survivors told the BBC the attackers said they had come to preach to the crowd, before opening fire on them.
The militants came into the village of Barderi, near the University
of Maiduguri on the outskirts of the city on Wednesday night, telling
people to gather to hear them preach, but then turned the guns on the
crowd.
Meanwhile, a massive explosion has rocked the Gombe State Governor’s House.
As at the time of filing in this report, there is no confirmed record of casualties or the level of carnage.
The Police, Fire Department and Military men are already at the scene
and no group has claimed responsibility for the attack yet.
