Apostle Suleman of Omega Fire Ministries has reacted to reports of soldiers beating people who disobey the lockdown order declared in Lagos, Ogun and Abuja.
The lockdown order was declared by President Muhammadu Buhari so as to help curb the spread of COVID-19 in Nigeria.
However, the order has seen soldiers assigned to effect it beating civilians who flouted it.
Speaking against their action, Apostle Suleman who recently ended large gathering sin hi church due to the virus, advised the soldiers to chase people back indoor instead of beating them.
He tweeted: “Plsss,every1 stay at home..but soldiers, the way you are beating up people is uncalled for..chase them back indoors not these furious beatings.if the govt had palliative measures in place to reduce hunger, it would had been okay.some people are dying of hunger…my opinion”.
