How Kemi Afolabi appreciated her parents and grandmother at her birthday party (photos)

So last weekend, actress Kemi Afolabi had a grand double celebration – a birthday and a movie premiere – at the Oriental hotel, Lagos.

The birthday celebrant played host to her colleagues and friends in the movie industry as well as family members.

Interestingly, her grandmother and Parents were deeply appreciated at the occasion as they were sprayed lots of dollar notes on the dance floor.

Kemi in a message to her mum said “My beautiful sweet mother (Iya Anota) I love you mamma? thanks for bringing me to the world? I  couldn’t have asked for a better mum! Your prayers brought me this far, my happiness knows no bounds that my achievement is happening right before your eyes..I pray good health and long life for you always.  This  is only the beginning of greater things in our lives…you’ve paid your dues iya mi, therefore you deserve full time accolades”

Appreciating her dad, she said “Dear father, thank you for giving me the best possible education. I will forever and always cherish that aspect of you. You’re the best dad and I love you. I promise to always make you proud of me.”

And she appreciated her Grandma with these words “I am exceptionally happy because my grandmother (Iya Ijo) is still alive to witness me celebrate. She is my dad’s mum but took me as her own child!!! She stood her grounds and was ready to confront anyone who tries to harm me in anyway…. We all are familiar with polygamous family story right? She is my backbone after God. Thank God man isint God!
