In celebration of Easter, Yul Edochie has admonished the public to stop burning shrines and deities.
The clergyman, in a post on his Instagram page, noted how not all deities are evil. He avowed that the Whites were the ones who convinced us that our traditions were evil so we could discard our ways and embrace theirs, thereby making slavery easy.
The actor told Nigerians to wake up and start embracing their tradition as many deities even acknowledge God. He added that burning them could bring perpetual trouble and if anyone doesn’t understand, they should leave it as long as it doesn’t disturb them.
“Stop burning shrines and deities. Not all deities are evil. Oyibo convinced us that all our ways are evil so we could discard our ways & embrace theirs, making slavery easy.
We need to wake up & start embracing our traditions.
Many deities acknowledge God Almighty.
Bringing them could bring you perpetual trouble.
If you don’t understand something, leave it.
If it’s not disturbing you, don’t disturb it”.
Weeks back, Yul had sent a message to religious folks, advising them against being too obsessed with it.
In a lengthy post on his Instagram page, he avowed that the majority of religion is a scam and is formulated to control the people. The movie star, claimed that the ways of our forefathers are great as he pointed out how they worshipped the same Almighty God but in different ways, which he believes was more efficient.
Yul stated that it’s time for us to start going back to our roots, as he urged religious fanatics to stop forcing their style of worship on others.
This isn’t the first time, the father of four would give his take on religion.
Some years back, Edochie asserted that a large percentage of religion is a “scam”, as religion was created centuries ago by men with the intention of dividing and ruling over others.
In an old post on religion, Yul slammed those who force others to follow their beliefs, as he touched on how every individual had the right to believe whatever they wanted.
According to him, people are allowed to preach their religion to others but not force them to accept it. He explained further saying that it was not people’s job to fight for God and that He who created the world was capable of handling his own battles.
