Nollywood actor and soon-to-be pastor, Yul Edochie has expressed gratitude to his father, Pete Edochie.
The movie star, who two weeks back revealed that he was finally ready to accept the call of God, announced the launch of his online Ministry, The Salvation Ministry, where he will be preaching the gospel.
Many thought he was just chasing clout until he held his first online service on Sunday, January 28th, where he recounted how God called him.
Taking to his Instagram page, the actor revealed that his veteran father has endorsed his ministry after watching his first service and enjoyed it.
He revealed that his father called me on Wednesday to congratulate him for successfully holding his first life program as a Minister of God.
Questioning what more he could ask from a father, he appreciated him for the support and prayed for him to live longer.
“yuledochie
So yesterday, my father called me and congratulated me for successfully holding my first live program as a minister of God.
He said he watched it and he loved it.
He then gave me some bible verses to read and talk about in my program.
What more can I ask for from a father?
Thank you for the support, Dad.

Thank you, Sir.
I love you, Dad.
My man for life”.
Pete Edochie isn’t the only one who has endorsed Yul’s ministry, media personality, Daddy Freeze has shown his support for him, stating that he isn’t less qualified than any Nigerian pastor, as long as he preaches the truth.
He noted how many pastors, whom he called unprintable names are doing more harm to the gospel than Yul is doing.
Not everyone is in support of his Ministry, Twitter influencer, Solomon Buchi had questioned who Yul Edochie’s spiritual father is, among others, as he noted how the actor had been embroiled in adultery and polygamy for the past months, which makes him unfit to preach the gospel.
Calling him an embarrassment to the Christian faith, Solomon stated that Yul needed intensive mental care as the charade of ministry wasn’t helping him.
Similarly, Noble Igwe, who was left baffled, noted how Yul started from doing Real Estate business to answering the call of God and starting his ministry. He wondered how Yul just woke up one day and thought of preaching the gospel.
Former reality TV star Nina Ivy had stated that the actor had called himself and not God.
