Nigerian female Activist has reacted to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s request for a peace walk as part of efforts to ensure harmony in the state.
Sanwo-Olu had on Tuesday said he would lead the peace walk in the state in December “to herald the healing of the land.”
He also invited, Falz, Mr Macaroni, Seun Kuti, Dele Farotimi, Temitope Majekodunmi, Segun Awosanya (Segalink), Adedotun (Just Detoun), singer Seun Kuti, Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu and Commander of Rapid Response Squad, CSP Yinka Egbeyemi, amongst others.
In a post shared on the microblogging platform, Rinu said the Lagos Governor, Sanwo-Olu, will walk alone.
Rinu added that there would be no peace without justice as she urged Sanwo-Olu to do the necessary and stop performative actions.
She wrote: Mr Gov. You will walk alone. No Justice, no peace @jidesanwou. Do the necessary, stop performative actions!
Kemi Filani News earlier reported that Falz in a post shared on the microblogging platform Twitter, opined that the suggestion of a walk for peace sounds like a joke and very disrespectful.
Falz recalled how people were murdered in cold blood, and no iota of justice has been served for more than a year after the incident.
The rapper questioned Sanwo-Olu on how there be peace when justice has not been served on behalf of Nigerians who had their lives snatched away by the armed forces.
Falz also questioned Sanwo-Olu if he wants to sweep the issue of murdered citizens under the carpet, adding that young Nigerians are still constantly being harassed and extorted by Police officers.
