Nollywood actor, Yomi Fabiyi has penned an appreciation note to all who donated and contributed towards the financial assistance of veteran Yoruba actor, Alapinni.
Kemi Filani reported days back that Alapinni had cried out over his financial status and his fans and lovers had contributed over 3 million and had gotten him a new car.
Reacting to the good news, Yomi noted how many of the veterans are always the first to arrive at movie locations despite not owning cars.
He stated that many of them use the little they make from acting to raise their children, hence, why they end up broke.
However, he is super happy and grateful to God and their helpers.
“Wao! I am super happy and grateful to God and these helpers. It shall be counted for you for good. Your children shall reap from this act of humanity and pure religion.
Thank you Ayoola @kamo_state you are doing beautifully well. Personally I have huge respect for you more. Mr. Lekan Enuope in US and every other DONORS, this charity will come through for each and every one of you. Asiri yin o ni tu oh.
Sad reality is that these legends and pure talents are always the first to arrive locations despite not having a car of their own. They have used all their little income to raise their children and many others they accommodate to raise.
Some people don’t have but they love to give, while some have, they don’t feel like giving. Charity is one of the biggest religions. Charity is a decision to give voluntarily to whoever you feel genuinely needs help, aid, voice, or hand. Charity can go to the richest country. One of the key essence of living”.
Yomi Fabiyi calls out Mr. Latin
This is coming just days after Yomi Fabiyi had called out his senior colleague and president of TAMPAN, Bolaji Amusan better known as Mr Latin over his remark on veteran actors.
The President of The Theater Arts and Motion Picture Producers Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN), in his defense, had stated that actors coming out for help aren’t members of the association.
Reacting to it, Yomi Fabiyi cautioned him against constantly reacting to every news on social media.
He advised him to get a Special Adviser on Media, who would censor his statements, to avoid making more mistakes.
“I am doing this broadcast to address the President of TAMPAN, Mr. Latin i.e. Bolaji Amusan. Mr Latin you are the president of TAMPAN, you are the president of professionals in that association. You aren’t a president of social media so whenever issues arise, I would appeal to you to take your time before you respond. I advised you a long time ago that you need Special Adviser on Media so that things would pass through the person and there would be serious censorship. You are human, if care isn’t taken you will make a mistake, like the one you just did, denying that actors seeking help aren’t members of TAMPAN. I need to be honest with you”.
Over the space of two months, four veterans Lalude, Iya Gbonkan, Pariolodo, and now Alapinni have received cars and financial assistance from Nigerians.
