Nollywood actor, Yinka Quadri has blown hot following the heavy backlash he received for supporting Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Kemi Filani news reported days back that 62-year-old veteran actor Yinka Quadri had revealed his reasons for declaring his support for All Progressive Congress (APC) presidential candidate Bola Tinubu.

Explaining his reasons for supporting Tinubu as the next president in the 2023 general elections, Yinka Quadri in a lengthy Instagram post said Tinubu was capable of uniting Nigeria and he had been identified as an ‘exceptional manager of resources and a seasoned administrator’.

Yinka Quadri credited Bola Tinubu for influencing many actors to venture into politics. Read more here.

“I, Alhaji Olayinka Quadri pledge my support for BAT not because I was paid to do so but because of Asiwaju support and influence to all and sundry over the years. Majority of actors who venture into politics today do so because of the influence of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. By God grace, Asiwaju will move from Jagaban of Lagos to Asiwaju of Nigeria. For all your sacrifices, for all your effort, God will reward you this time…. If we look at the rotation of leaders in Nigeria over the years, it is very crystal clear it is Yoruba turn to be president. BAT, Eyin lol kan (you’re the next)”.

The actor and his colleagues were severely dragged on social media.

Speaking out, Yinka Quadri issued a warning to them to shut their mouth up.

According to him, if they do not have knowledge about anything, they should keep their mouth shut.

“If you do not have complete knowledge about anything, better keep your mouth shut. You might think that speaking about something without full knowledge is a trivial matter. But it might have grave consequences”.
