Days after bashing gospel singer, Tope Alabi for being a hypocrite, Yemi My Lover retracted his statement.
In a video posted online, the movie star stated that all his words were only out of love for the award-winning singer as he isn’t the one who established her.
Knowing fully well he didn’t make her, he questioned why he would be expecting anything from her.
Yemi made it known that he doesn’t have anything against Tope and is satisfied with what he has.
“Pls was I the one that established Tope Alabi? Why will I be expecting her to do anything for me? All my words that day that she didn’t attend my birthday or gave me a gift were out of love. I don’t have anything against her. I am satisfied with what I have”.
Yemi My Lover calls out Tope Alabi
Kemi Filani reported last week that Yemi Ayebo better known as Yemi My Lover had called out Tope Alabi for neglecting him after stardom.
The actor revealed that Tope Alabi was his apprentice in the movie industry in the 90s, but now that she has made it, he can’t remember any help she ever rendered to him.
Yemi My Lover claimed that Tope doesn’t even pick up his calls and didn’t acknowledge his birthday last year, despite him taking a letter to her office.
He added that some of these gospel singers have worse characters than regular people.
“Tope Alabi was my apprentice in the movie industry in the 90s. Now that she has made it, I can’t remember any help she ever rendered to me. She doesn’t even pick up my calls. Last year when I wanted to celebrate my birthday, I personally took the invitation letter to her office but she neither came note send any gift to me. She didn’t even wish me a happy birthday but I am not mad, that is her way of life. Some of these gospel singers have worse character man regular people”.
Tope Alabi mocks Adeyinka Alaseyori
Some years back, a video where Tope Alabi was criticizing her colleague Adeyinka Alaseyori over her popular hit song titled ‘Oniduro Mi eseun o’ sent social media into a frenzy and generated many reactions from different people.
According to Tope in the video, God isn’t her guarantor because He’s more than a guarantor.
This earned the ‘Angeli mi’ crooner lots of bashing, dragging, and criticisms from social media users.
In a press release, Tope Alabi apologized and clarified herself. She noted how she isn’t a perfect person, hence, is liable to slip.
Tope revealed that she wants people to see her as a mere mortal with her own weaknesses, and human frailties, and as a learner.
“Let Me Acknowledge That My Mistake Was That I Externalized A Personal Message In Public and I am Awfully Sorry For Doing That”.
I’m not a perfect person yet, I’m still a work in progress in the hands of God. I want people to see me as a mere mortal with my own weaknesses, human frailties and as a learner in the limitless knowledge of God”.
