Asake’s ex-girlfriend Mystique seems to have a little bit of time for her keyboard because she has been trending for a hot minute.
From revealing the reason behind her breakup with Asake, Mystique has moved to the religious front.
The singer was cautioned by a netizen, who asked her not to use the Islamic religion to promote her music.
This statement was prompted by the fact that Mystique added this caption to her post;
“Happy end of Ramadan If May Allah answer all of our prayers & Ameen”
Mystique responded by saying that she probably has a stronger connection to the ‘divine’ than the netizen ever would. She also said that the netizen should worry about the prayers she missed and the fake fasting she was doing, and that she should not show off her religion.
The conversation between Mystique and the concerned netizen went from zero to one-hundred because from asking her to stop using Islam to Mystique insinuating that Muslim prayers were fake, despite the fact that she used a prayer in her caption.
Mystique contradicted her own faith when she said Muslim prayers are fake because on her Instagram story, she had posted a quote containing a Muslim prayer, complete with a song.
While the singer hasn’t reveals that she is a Muslim, her post and the prayer she attached while promoting her music proves that she’s of the Muslim faith.
Beyond being Asake’s ex-girlfriend, not much was known about Mystique. Her revelation about the reason behind their breakup has kept her on top of the trends in Nigeria, and now, because of this post, everyone knows she’s a Muslim, even though she has never openly spoken about her faith.
While Mystique has been trending because of her breakup with Asake, the Nigerian singer has been in the news because of his new hairstyle.
