“World best Funke” Nollywood stars and youths drum support for Funke Akindele to ’emerge’ Lagos Deputy Governor

Nollywood stars have drummed support for their colleague, Funke Akindele Bello, over her political appointment as the running mate to the People’s Democratic Party’s governorship candidate in Lagos State, Dr Olajide Adediran, popularly called Jandor.

Kemi Filani reported that Funke Akindele confirmed her appointment after speculations about her political career, which she snubbed.

The mother of two shared a video on her verified social media page to confirm that she has been chosen as a running mate to Jandor in the upcoming 2023 general elections.

Funke Akindele disclosed that she is ready to pay the price of embracing politics which will temporarily hold her career in the Nollywood industry.

Funke Akindele’s commitment is trailed by support from her colleagues in the movie industry, who took to her timeline to shower her with love and praises.

Celebrities including Tacha, Adaku, Jide Awobona, Mary Njoku, Biola Bayo, Joke Silva, Mo Bimpe, Omoborty, Waje, among a host of others, cheered Funke Akindele on her new political appointment.
