Gospel musician, Nathaniel Bassey has shared the story of how a man went from being a marketer to becoming the managing director of one of the leading subsidiaries of the company.
According to Nathaniel Bassey, this was after he said a prayer for the guy whom he noticed was different from other workers who nag about their bosses.
He wrote: “Even though this scripture speaks more about TRUE RICHES, which is really not material, there’s still a lot we can learn from it.
I shared the story of a marketer of one of the leading real estate firms I met who impressed me so much with His attitude to work.
How He Spoke so passionately and highly about The company, Boss and projects that I had to buy a plot of land that day without planning to. This for me was uncommon because what I got to see more were cases of people complaining and nagging about their jobs and Bosses and barely delivering on their jobs.
“So moved, I asked to pray for Him. And He knelt by the side of road unashamed.
Well, years later He became the MD of the subsidiaries, and presently one of the leading ones.
Well, you may attribute it to GRACE. And it’s true. But you see, He put Himself in the position to attract that Grace. Hard work coupled with a great attitude. This is how Paul puts it. “But whatever I am now, it is all because God poured out his special favor on me—and not without results. For I have worked harder than any of the other apostles; yet it was not I but God who was working through me by his grace.”
1 Corinthians 15:10 NLT Today young folks barely accomplish their basic tasks, talk less of going beyond their line of duty and responsibilities. And Even when they do so, it’s not with excitement and passion. Many want to do little work and have mega results. Then tag it, GRACE. Well, yeah… I believe Grace amplified our efforts. But I’d argue it amplifies our lazy and mediocre inputs.
“While I served at RCCG CITY OF DAVID as a trumpet player, I would work with the children church from time to time, Especially at Christmas and Easter to have them make presentations in the main church. This wasn’t a church assignment. It was just driven purely by passion and the love of God. Some days I would join the church keyboard player victor odetunde, a virtuoso pianist and saxophonist, to practice for long hours and even stay back after church to do some more work until the head of the tech unit (Charles) would come say to us “ Oga, I need to lock up ooo”😂. Dear young person, eeh! God is faithful.
Man may forget your”.
