Talented music producer, Samuel Oguachuba, popularly known as Samklef, has revealed his struggles in life and how he has conquered them as he recounts his days as a 14-year-old street beggar in Lekki.
Moving down memory lane, he disclosed he had lost his father at a tender age, and his mother had left them to fend for themselves. As a result, he had to go through begging to feed his siblings in Maroko Sandfield, the then Lekki, in 1999.
Anytime he wants to begin his begging mission, he starts with his favourite Celine Dion’s song titled ‘To love you more’, which inspired him to cry because the song would bring back painful memories.
During the struggle, he lost one of his sisters in 1994 and was left with only one sister who remained his only blood from both parents.
He wrote:
When i been Dey beg for Lekki then Maroko sand field in 1999 i was 14 if I want to beg I will sing this Celine Dion song. I will start crying asking God why did he allow my father to die and my mum to leave us. I will now use the years go beg.
