“See small girl dey raise voice for adults” – Uproar as Regina Daniels replies Nigerians for attacking her over her statement on the protest
Many social media users aren’t pleased with Nollywood actress Regina Daniels’ reply to Nigerians following the attacks she received for speaking on the protest.
Kemi Filani reported last week that on the first day of the protest, Regina Daniels had shared a video preaching against violence. The billionaire wife condemned violence perpetrated on the protest’s grounds and called for peace.
In another video shared on her Instagram page, she called on every sector and citizen of Nigeria to play their part in making the country a better place, as one man cannot take on the entire responsibility.
Her posts didn’t sit well with many who slammed her for speaking on the protest while marrying a billionaire politician. They believed that the movie star didn’t understand the plight of the masses since she was living in luxury.
Now replying to them via her Instagram page, Regina lets them know that she isn’t speaking for people to love her but for her workers to get better pay. She noted how the insecurities in the country and the extra bills she has to pay have made it difficult for her to cater for her staff and increase their payments.
Noting how Northerners are already carrying Russian flags, she questioned if that’s what Nigerians want as she noted how anything that happens in the North can get to other states.

Similarly, Tonto Dikeh earned backlash as she supported President Tinubu and even brought out some statistics to back her claim that the President was doing his job well. She also advised people to act wisely, with the inference that there was no need for a nationwide protest.
Before the protest, Tonto Dikeh had written a letter to Nigerians against embarking on a protest. She stated that she understands their frustration and concerns regarding the current state of their nation; however, she believes that the approach may not be the most effective method. Tonto suggested establishing a representative group that can meet with the President and advocate on their behalf.
