Controversial Nollywood actor Uche Maduagwu has camped with his colleague, Jim Iyke and famous singer Davido while dragging other celebrity baby daddies for abandoning their kids.
Uche Maduagwu, in a controversial post, alleged that some celebrities only perform their duties of a father on social media but are nowhere to be found outside the media.
Uche Maduagwu praised Davido and Jim Iyke for reportedly taking their responsibilities seriously, unlike 90% of ignorant celebrities.
He wrote: Davido and Jim Iyke lead while others follow. Follow like made in Lagos kunu when it comes to being a great dad To dem pikins 90% of Naija celebs na absentee fathers.
Uche Maduagwu further assessed the role of a father, claiming a great dad is one who takes good care of his child by spending time and taking care of their needs.
He wrote: A FATHER Na who born pikin, but a DAD Na who stay behind to take care of the pikin, while a GREAT dad Na who stayed not only to take good care of the pikin by spending TIME with dem and taking care of all their financial needs, but also make sure mama of pikin is well financially looked after. Most celebrity fathers are more concerned about showing off dem pikin on social media but ask around and you will be surprised to know how difficult it is for these celeb to spending time and money with dem pikins outside social media, so what is the Essence of pretending?
Kemi Filani recalls that Uche Maduagwu ranted online after the organizers of the 2022 Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards (AMVCA) snubbed Jim Iyke’s lattest project, Bad comments.
He wrote: “AMVCA doesn’t represent the true nature of our movie in Nigeria. How can you say you are giving award yo people and Bad Comment isn’t in the category.
I wouldn’t attend the event because I don’t think you people will represent us.
Bad Comment is the biggest movie in 2021 and there is no single nomination”.
“Not again, #SouthAfricans can not tell us how to run out industry, enough is enough, a lot of prominent #movieproducers and actors have complained bitterly about #AMVCA selection process when it comes to nominations, our #movies no be #bbnaija housemates that you control inside #bbn how can a movie like bad comments that was unarguably the biggest 2021 #cinema film, that made over 200 million naira have no single nomination? Is AMVCA truly Naija viewers choice #award or organizers preferred award?”.
