Nigerian actress and filmmaker Toyin Abraham is still facing criticism from netizens and fellow entertainers in the industry even after her choice of presidential candidate has emerged winner.
In a recent turn of events, the presidential candidate she fervently supported, Bola Tinubu, finally won, but the social media drama still lingers.
Solomon Buchi, a well-known Nigerian commentator, recently took to Instagram to poke fun at the actress.
In a sarcastic post, Buchi suggested that since her preferred presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, has been declared the winner of the 2023 presidential election, she should prepare herself to become the appointed minister of a fictional position – the Minister of Yoruba Movies.
He wrote: “Finally, Toyin Abraham will be made minister of Yoruba movies”, and then captioned the post, I laugh.

“If I collect money, your wish will come to pass on me”, Toyin Abraham insists she was not paid to support Tinubu
Toyin recently insisted that her choice of presidential candidate was of her free will and she was not paid to campaign or vote for any party.
The actress, who seems to share and agree with the values of the APC presidential candidate Tinubu, simultaneously posted what seemed like a prayer and curse on her Instagram page.
She made a conditional statement in her native language, implying that if she received payment to vote, her fans’ desires would affect her. Additionally, the mother of one expressed a prayer for protection against death.
‘Jagaban is incoming’, Toyin Abraham beams with joy as she finally meets Tinubu
Kemi Filani recalls that the actress was called out for joining her colleagues in the Yoruba movie industry to endorse Tinubu. On her Instagram page, Toyin shared pictures of herself, Tinubu and Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu at an event.
According to the mother of one, she is meeting Tinubu for the first time, and he shared with her the methodology he will use to tackle the nation’s challenges. She also noted that having listened to him, she assured him that she had made the right choice.
Captioning the post, she wrote: “For the first time, I met the incoming president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and he shared some of his Ideas, Visions and Strategy to solve the challenges before us as a Nation. Listening to him indeed renewed my hope and reaffirmed why he is my choice. Jagaban is coming!”
