Nollywood actress, Toyin Abraham has appealed to Nigerians, who are fond of using drugs.
Taking to the micro-blogging platform, Toyin Abraham appealed to drug users to stop taking drugs.
She noted how drugs would mess up one’s life, as she promised to provide help to them.
“Stop doing drugs. Stop doing drugs, it will mess up your life, and look up. Pls stop doing drugs. If you need help I’m here to help pls. Love and light always”.
SolidStar opens up on drug addiction
Recall that late last year, Nigerian singer, Joshua Iniyezo, better known as Solidstar, narrated how he nearly died because of drug abuse and addiction.
The Delta-born star took to his Instagram page to reveal how he almost lost his life due to hard drugs addiction.
This wasn’t the first time Solidstar was sharing his experience with drugs.
In 2019, Solidstar shared a post where he recounted how he had overdosed on drugs.
He added that the incident led to him bleeding.
The Afropop artiste also apologized to whoever might have been hurt due to the incident.
“Drugs are like food to Nigerian entertainers”, Noble Igwe spills
Meanwhile, Popular media entrepreneur and fashionista, Noble Igwe had likened drugs to food in the Nigerian entertainment industry.
Last year, the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) arrested De General, the skit maker, for alleged drug possession.
The agency had said it found cannabis Sativa, 225mg of tramadol, and drug paraphernalia from his Lagos home.
The occurrence sparked diverse reactions from different audiences and stakeholders in the entertainment space.
Sharing his thoughts on the issue, Noble Igwe took to Twitter to claim drugs are like a sort of food for many Nigerian entertainers.
